Make sure you have no ragged edges on your finger and toe nails, or hard sharp pieces of skin sticking out on hands and feet. You should be careful not to bump into things with sharp edges. I don't know which brands you buy, but it's always better to spend a bit more money and get good quality. When you're careful with them they last much longer than the cheap stuff. I've also heard that when you take them out of the package and make them moist and then freeze them, they will last longer and not run so easily. Don't know if it works, but it's worth a try. |

| Yes, I wear them everyday and contrary to popular belief, if you buy a good brand and the right size they are comfortable. But again, that is true for everything. I wear them for work, not because I have to but because I think that my outfits look better/more complete with them. Going bare legged is kind of like a guy wearing a suit without socks. Something is missing. As far as brands go, I have had a lot of luck with L'eggs Sheer Energy. They only cost $5, last longer then more expensive brands and make my legs feel great as they have a light support fit to them. Too bad that they only come in a few colors. Luckily their nude shade matches my skin tone really well so that is what I am usually wearing. L'eggs also offers a fuller support hose called Active Support. They definitely are more snug than Sheer Energy but they only come in control top and I prefer the sheer to waist version that I can get with Sheer Energy. Just be sure to roll them up and stick your foot all the way in them and then work them up your legs. It really is pretty easy. If you are looking for some brands with more color choices try Donna Karan or Victoria's Secret but be prepared to spend $10-15/pair. |
